FAMILY:
Jon has been happily married to Jane since June 1977. They met at Milligan Christian University in Johnson City, Tennessee. Jane taught at public and private schools until her retirement in 2021.
Jon and Jane’s son Josh works at Cummins Engines in Columbus, Indiana. He has two teenage daughters, Novah and Eisley. Jon and Jane’s daughter Jenna is married to Remington, and she works as a cardiac nurse at Prince William Medical Center. Jenna and Remington have three children: Hailey, Grayson, and Lincoln.

EDUCATION:
Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Milligan Christian University and a Master’s degree from Emmanuel Christian Seminary, both in Johnson City, Tennessee.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Jon worked in youth and music ministries during Bible college and seminary, then has been preaching full-time since 1979. He and Jane helped start a new church in Oviedo, Florida for 11 years, then began serving with New Hope Christian Church in Manassas in December, 1990. He has traveled frequently to several of our mission points to teach and serve, including India, Liberia, and Thailand. He has also served on planning teams for Waypoint Church Partners, the Florida Christian Convention, and the Eastern Christian Conference.
HOMETOWN:
Jon grew up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana but considers Clearwater, Florida his hometown. His home church is Crossroads Christian Church in Largo, Florida.
HOBBIES:
Jon enjoys handyman projects at home or for other people, golf, keyboard, and yard work.

ABOUT MINISTRY:
Jon loves to preach and teach the Word of God to anyone pursuing spiritual understanding and growth. On a daily basis, he enjoys sharing the life experiences of a wide variety of people and watching God work in their lives. He especially enjoys the fact that no two days of his ministry for the Lord are ever the same!
